Welcome!

My name is Lilla Selmeczi. I studied tourism and hospitality at the univesity and then worked at hotels and cruise ships in Budapest and abroad as well. As I’ve always enjoyed spending time outdoors, I decided to combine this interest with my experience with tourism in Budapest and show visitors that this beautiful city has a lot more to offer than just what you find downtown.

We are lucky enough to have spectacular hill areas (yes, we call some of them mountains – compared to the completely flat Pest side, they can seem huge 🙂 ) pretty close to the inner city. They offer many-many hiking trails through serene forests with scenic viewpoints, historical memorial sites and exciting educational paths about a variety of subjects.

I invite you to explore these lesser known parts of our capital with my guidance!

If you are interested in nature a bit further away as well and feel ready to get out of the city for a half day or day trip, I offer options for that too! Enjoy the view of the Danube Bend from one of the lookout towers, feel the heartbeat of the Earth at Dobogókő (‘Beating Rock’), or explore the volcanic block of the Mátra mountains, where the highest point of Hungary is located.

Please check out the ‘Hiking tours’ menu to find currently available tour options!

If you are interested in specific sights, locations, different length or difficulty hikes, religious paths or anything else, I am happy to arrange tailor-made itineraries as well. Kindly contact me about your request so I can look into it and we can discuss the options.

On this photo, you can see my super enthusiastic assistant trail guide, Pipacs (Poppy) as well. If you wouldn’t mind her accompanying us to the hike, please, let me know, I’m sure she would be delighted to join!
