If you are visiting Budapest, chances are you have already heard of the Danube Bend, which is a popular destination of day trips from the capital. However, there is a chance to elevate this tour to the next level – in every sense!
General sightseeing tours usually take you to some of the riverside villages or on a boat tour, but how about taking a look at the whole scenery from the top floor of the 12 m (39 ft) lookout tower at the 639 m (2096 ft) tall Prédikálószék hill? From this spot, you can enjoy the view of the whole Danube Bend together with the Börzsöny mountan range on northern side.
The hike up is a pleasant path with a pretty balanced elevation throughout the first half of the tour with serene forest environment, while descending from the top (taking a different route) is not challenging either.
Only from mid-spring to mid-fall: If you feel ready for more, you can combine this tour with the Dobogókő (6.6 km) one for a whole day of hiking in the Visegrádi Mountains!

For this tour, public transport is not available, the starting point can only be reached by car.
