Transport

To get to the starting points of the hikes, you have several options depending on your preference and budget.

Pick up and drop off.

Pick up from your hotel before and drop off at your hotel after the trip. For a maximum of 3 participants, I take you with my own car (Mercedes). For more than 3 participants, I work together with transport providers, so we can arrange a bigger car or 2-3 cars if necessary. You can find the transfer charges for each tour on the designated hike description pages.

Arrange your own transport.

For hikes in Budapest, you can reach any of the starting points by public transport. If you choose this option, after reservation I send you the details on which line to take and what time to make sure you get there by the agreed time.
For nearby (half day) trips and day trips, public transport presents more of a challenge, as several transfers might be needed (bus/train), and there are hike starts as well that can only be reached by car. This is mentioned in the individual descriptions. If there is public transport available and you definitely want to choose this option, let me know and I can look into the easiest and fastest way.

If you have your own car with you, great! Once the booking is confirmed, I can send you what to put in the GPS and let you know approx. how much time to consider for your travel.

You can also grab a taxi or ask your front desk to get one for you. For tours outside the city this might get pricey, as the waiting time for the driver (while you complete your hike) also has a cost. Make sure you agree with the driver about the costs beforehand to avoid any surprises!
